Int’l Prize for Service to Islam: Call for Nominations

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The secretariat of the King Faisal International Prize has issued invitations to nominate for the 45th edition of the prize for service to Islam in 2023.

 

 

 

According to almowaten.net, the deadline for nomination submissions is March 31, 2022.

It is an annual award sponsored by King Faisal Foundation presented to "dedicated men and women whose contributions make a positive difference".

The foundation awards prizes in five categories: Service to Islam; Islamic studies; the Arabic language and Arabic literature; science; and medicine.  

The first King Faisal Prize was awarded to the Pakistani scholar Abul A’la Maududi in the year 1979 for his service to Islam.

Al-Azhar Grand Mosque was the first Islamic center which received the prize in the year 2000.
