Visually-Impaired Girl among Iran’s Representatives at Int’l Quran Contest for Students

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Zahra Khalili, a visually-impaired girl from Tehran, will be among the four students representing Iran in the upcoming international Quran competition for Muslim world students.

She will compete in the category of memorization of the entire Quran in the girl’s section.

Maryam Sabzezari from Khuzestan province will be the country’s contestant in the section’s recitation category.

As for the boys, Iran will be represented by Mohammad Reza Jafarpour from Gilan Province and Amir Ali Yadegari from Tehran Province in memorization and recitation, respectively.

They have been selected from among those who had the best performances in Iran’s national Quran competitions in the previous two years.

Tehran will host the 7th edition of the international Quran competition for Muslim world students in Esfand 1400 (February-March 2022).
