TEHRAN (IQNA) – Holy shrines have to offer their services in different areas based on the conducts of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), says Astan Quds Razavi’s chief custodian, Hoj. Ahmad Marvi.

He made the remarks in a meeting with custodians of other holy shrines of the country.

Introducing holy shrines as centers for guidance and promotion of the religion, Hoj. Marvi stressed: “Existence of holy shrines, like Imam Reza holy shrine, is a very great blessing and an illuminated capacity granted by God with which we can guide the whole society”.

He added: “As Imams were sources of light, calmness, and guidance during their holy lifetime, their holy shrines must do the same and have similar functions these days”.

AQR chief custodian added: “Once I asked Ayatollah Khamenei a question about administration of affairs in my respective organization. He answered: See if Imam Reza (AS) were present, what would he do? We have used this answer many times since then when we are encountered with a new problem”.

Pointing to the effective role of the holy shrines in reviving traditional and home-based circles of Quran recitation, Marvi stated: “Sacred premises and holy shrines have to try to revive forgotten original traditions and diminished Islamic traditions in order to revive these very good and valuable traditions”.

He is of the opinion that Iran’s holy shrines can have shared approach when it comes to cultural and social arenas.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Marvi underscored the need for rendering services based on the conducts of Ahl al-Bayt (AS), saying “Today, we cannot have a positive influence and performance without having presence in social and service spheres”.

Bringing his remarks to end, the chief custodian of Astan Quds Razavi reacted to the recent divisive statements insulting Ahl al-Bayt (AS) and condemned the insult strongly.
