TEHRAN (IQNA) – A virtual exhibition on calligraphy and calligraphy painting is underway on social media pages of the Iranian cultural office in Kyrgyzstan.

Titled “International Exhibition of the Quran and Hafez Calligraphy and Calligraphy Painting”, the event is being co-organized by the Iranian Academics Quranic Organization and Islamic Culture and Relations Organizations.

The exhibition is being held on the occasion of Yalda night, a historic Iranian tradition, and artworks of several Iranian artists have been put on display on Instagram, Telegram, and Facebook accounts of Iran’s cultural office in Bishkek.

Using the language of art to display the beauties of the Quran and Quranic references of Hafez poems, boosting artistic and media ties between academics and elites nationally and internationally have been named as the aims of the exhibition.

This is part of a bigger project named “Malakout National and International Exhibitions”.

The event seeks to support young talented artists and introduce their works in calligraphy and calligraphy painting in the national and international sphere.
