TEHRAN (IQNA) – Authorities of the Israeli occupation issued stop-work orders on Wednesday for a mosque and number of homes and hops in the occupied West Bank village of Marda.

The targeted village is located north of the West Bank city of Salfit, which is surrounded by 24 illegal Jewish-only settlements and seven illegal outposts.

Head of Marda village council, Murad Khuffash, said in a statement that a large number of Israeli occupation soldiers raided the village in the early morning and delivered the orders.

Khuffash said that the targeted mosque, homes and the shop are still under construction, adding that they were targeted under the pretext they were being built in Area C, which is under full control of the Israeli regime.

The orders also affect an agricultural road used by the villagers to reach their farms.

Israeli demolitions of Palestinian structures have increased recently, mainly in Area C of the occupied West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem.
