TEHRAN (IQNA) – A forum was held at the ongoing international book fair in Cairo, Egypt, to discuss terrorism and Islamophobia in the world.

Muslim Council of Elders

Addressing the forum on Thursday, Samir Boudinar, executive director of the Council of Elders, said the Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorist groups’ actions have caused the spread of racism against Muslim immigrants, Akhbar El-Yom Website reported.

He said some in the West are afraid of Muslim immigrants because a few young people have joined the terrorist group.

Muslims in the West are suffering from discrimination and racism for the wrong actions and ideology of the terrorist group, he added.

Boudinar also sad that European media outlets are portraying the issue of immigration by Muslims to Europe in an exaggerated way.

This is while Europe and the West are benefiting from these immigrants for their economic recovery after their economy hit a crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic, he went on to say.
