Zionist Forces Detain 40 Palestinians in West Bank

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Zionist forces detained around 40 Palestinians from various parts of the occupied territories, including a blind man, siblings, and fathers and their teenage sons.

The arrests were made by the occupation forces on Sunday night and Monday morning, according to the Palestinian Prisoner Society (PPS) and other sources.

The PPS said the army detained Izz al-Din Amarneh, a blind man and a former prisoner, after raiding and ransacking his home in the town of Yabad, southwest of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, along with four other men from the Jenin district.

In the Ramallah district, soldiers detained 13 people, including 10 from the village of Deir Abu Mishal, north of Ramallah, most of whom were later released, and a 52-year-old man and his two 18-year-old and 22-year-old sons from the town of Silwad, east of Ramallah.

In the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank, soldiers detained a 47-year-old man and his 16 and 17-year old sons, along with another man and his son from Arroub refugee camp, and a 50-year-old man and his 19-year-old son from Fowwar refugee camp.

A total of 11 people were detained in the Hebron district, including 27 and 30-year-old siblings from Yatta.

In occupied Jerusalem, occupation forces detained nine people from Isawiyya neighborhood in overnight raids at their homes.

Arrests were made in other parts of the occupied West Bank.
