The ministry's announcement of visa cancelation came in response to people's inquiries in this regard.

In addition, the Absher platform confirmed that it is not possible to issue the Umrah host visa through the platform, and has asked people to communicate with the ministry on this issue.

The ministry stated earlier that the Umrah host visa is subject to the standards and requirements that regulate it. It confirmed that it will not be implemented and there is no specific time for its activation.

The Umrah host visa allowed citizens and residents to host pilgrims from outside Saudi Arabia, in accordance with certain regulations, and enabling them to bring and host 3-5 pilgrims.

The Umrah host visa used to be issued through the civil status registry for the citizens, and via the residency for the residents.
