Southwestern Province to Play Host to Iran’s 45th Nat’l Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The southwestern province of Khuzestan will host the next edition of Iran’s national Quran competition.

Hojat-ol-Islam Morteza Khakbaz, director general of the province’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, said that a meeting for coordination and planning for the competition will be held after Nowruz holidays (March 21- April 1).

He added that the 45th edition of the contest is scheduled to be held in the month of Dey (December 2022- January 2023).

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s national Quran competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

The categories of the contest include memorization, recitation, and interpretation of the Holy Quran.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.
