Egyptian Club Fans’ Support for Palestine Goes Viral
During a recent match between Zamalek and Pharco teams, Zamalek supporters waved and held up Palestinian flags.
In their march on Friday, Zamalek defeated Pharco 1-0, according to Ray Al-Youm website.
Social media users welcomed the move, stressing that the cause of Palestine will remain in the hearts of Arab masses forever.
Karim Yahya, a journalist, lauded the sports club’s fans and said the vast majority of Egyptians back the Palestinian people and are opposed to normalized ties with the Zionist regime.
He said the images also reaffirm Egyptians’ condemnation of the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.
The fact that Egypt’s youth stand with Palestine and its people’s resistance is not surprising, he added.
Most of those commenting in social media networks on the images underlined that relying on normalization of ties with Israel in the region will have no other outcome than defeat.
They reiterated that Israel will remain an enemy of the Arab and Muslim world despite normalization bids by certain governments in the region.
