Quran and Fiqh Courses Launched in Karbala

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar-ol-Quran Center affiliated to the Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine of Imam Hussein (AS) has launched a courses on Fiqh of transactions according to the Holy Quran.

The specialized courses are organized at the Khatam al-Anbiya Hall of the mausoleum in Karbala, Iraq, the website of the Astan reported.

Mortaza Jamaleddin, the deputy head of the center, said the courses include lessons on Ayat al-Ahkam about trade, financial deals and contracts as well as rules about marriage, divorce, inheritance, and so on.  

Ayat al-Ahkam or ‘verses of the rules’ are verses of the Holy Quran from which legal rulings are derived.

Jamaleddin added that the classes are held every week on Thursday afternoon and will run for six to nine months.

A total of 125 Quran teachers from different governorates of Iraq, including Baghdad, Babil, Karbala and Najaf, are taking the course, he stated.

The classes are broadcast live every Thursday on the Karbala satellite TV network, according to the official.
