TEHRAN (IQNA) – Ali Reza Sameri is representing the Islamic Republic of Iran in the 30th edition of Jordan’s international Holy Quran competition.

The Quranic event’s men section was launched in the Arab country’s capital of Amman on Tuesday and will wrap up in an awarding ceremony today.

Some 250 Quran memorizers from Jordan and other countries are taking part in the men section.

Sameri’s turn to showcase his Quranic talents at the competition came on Thursday, April 13. He recited from memory the verses specified by the panel of arbiters.

He recited verses from five different parts of the Quran and his overall recitation lasted for ten minutes.

The memorizer has won several titles in different Quran competitions, including the top rank and the third-place rank in Iran’s national Holy Quran contest.

Sameri, who is from Iran’s southwestern province of Khuzestan, has an MA in the field of criminal law and criminology.
