Winners of Quran Competition in Sharjah Awarded
The contest targeted the children of the residents of the suburb, aiming to encourage children to recite the Holy Quran.
The competition, held in its first edition, has succeeded in motivating 24 participants, aged between five and fourteen, by filming the videos while reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
As part of the Council's keenness to encourage children from the suburbs to recite and memorize the Holy Quran, Al Suyoh Suburb Council held a ceremony at the council's headquarters in Sharjah, to honor the winners and participants, in the presence of Youssef Obaid Harmoul Al Shamsi, Chairman of Al Suyoh Suburb Council, several dignitaries, as well as a large number of invitees and families.
The ceremony witnessed the honoring of the first places winners, including all the participants in the competition categories, as well as the jury.
Commenting on this, the Chairman of Al Suyoh Suburb Council highlighted the keenness of the Council to adopt such events that promote social cohesion among the people of the suburb, lauding the remarkable success of the competition which translates the council’s vision.
