Toronto police are trying to identify the man wanted in two acts of vandalism at an east-end mosque.

Police say the man left hateful writing on the front of the mosque in the Danforth Avenue and Donlands Avenue area.

Police received a call on Thursday just before 1 p.m. for a hate-motivated offence. The suspect allegedly painted “hate symbols” on Madinah Masjid.

The man is believed to be the same suspect responsible for another act of vandalism that happened last Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Police have confirmed the same mosque was vandalized in both incidents.

The man is described as 30-years-old, with short hair.

He was wearing a black baseball cap, black jacket with patches on the sleeves, black pants and black boots, police say.
