IQNA to Host Int’l Event to Discuss Palestine

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A host of Iranian and international experts are set to discuss the issue of Palestine as the Israeli regime continues to bomb the Gaza Strip. 

 

The international webinar titled “Al-Aqsa Storm from the Perspective of Muslim World’s Elites: The Issue of Palestine and Future Ahead” is set to be held at IQNA on Wednesday at 9:30 A.M. UTC. 

Manouchehr Mottaki, former Iranian foreign minister is the special guest of the event and will deliver his speech live from IQNA’s studio. 

Muhammad Ali Rezaei Isfahani, head of Quran and Hadith Complex at Al-Mustafa International University, will also address the event virtually. 

Meanwhile, three academics from Iraq, Gaza, and Malaysia are set to deliver speeches. They include Mohsen Rasoul al-Saffar, Head of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences at the Islamic University of Najaf, Arafat Abdullah Abu Zayed, spokesperson for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad student association, and Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid, President of Malaysian Consultative Council of Islamic Organizations (Mapim). 

The themes of the event include the capacity of universities in the Islamic world to shed light on Israel's war crimes in Gaza, the role of academics in breaking the silence of international and human rights institutions regarding Israel's crimes, and the future of Western initiatives aimed at normalizing relations between some Muslim-majority countries and Israel.

The event will be broadcast live from IQNA’s page on Aparat website. 

The webinar comes as the Israeli regime has been bombing the besieged Gaza Strip since October 7. The relentless air raids have already claimed the lives of more than 3,500 people, including more than 1,000 children.
