Halipah Hasan, affectionately known as Wan, still effortlessly recites the Kursi verse from the Quran whenever asked, demonstrating her remarkable fluency, Malaysia’s Kosmo Newspaper reported on Sunday.
Hailing from Kampung Kuala Jempol, Bahau, Halipah remains in good health, despite her mobility being affected since a fall three years ago.
Wan shared that she regularly practices reciting the Kursi verse, incorporating it into her nightly routine before bedtime and throughout her daily affairs. "Usually I go to bed at 8.30 pm and wake up around 3.30 am. At this age, I don't even feel bad,” she said.
Reflecting on the secrets to her long life, Halipah mentioned her lifelong habit of drinking turmeric water mixed with ginger.

Halipah, a mother of four with 19 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, is a cherished presence in her family and also sometimes acts as a Quran teacher for her grandchildren. “If I hear my children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren reciting the Quran incorrectly, I will correct them," she said.
