IUMS Calls for Int’l Day of Support for Gaza, Al-Aqsa

IQNA – The International Union for Muslim Scholars (IUMS) called for holding rallies and sit-ins across the world this Friday in support of Gaza and Al-Aqsa Mosque and in condemnation of the Israeli regime.

The union urged that Friday, December 8, be named the day of support for the Gaza Strip and protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque.

It also called on Muslim nations and freedom-loving people of the world to stand united in solidarity with the Palestinian nation.

More than 16,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli regime in Gaza since it launched its deadly attacks on the coastal enclave in October 7.

Nearly two months into Israel’s bloody onslaught, the regime is wreaking havoc across every corner of the territory, leaving a trail of death and destruction also cutting off one of the most densely-populated places in the world from basic supplies such as water, electricity, medicines, and fuel leaving millions of Palestinians at risk of starvation.

Meanwhile, violations of Al-Aqsa Mosque’s sanctity continue by Zionist forces and settlers.
