Iran Armed Forces’ Quran Competition to Open in Mashhad Tomorrow

IQNA – The 34th edition of the Quran contest for Iranian armed forces will get underway on Monday.

The northeastern holy city of Mashhad will host the three-day competition.

Some 300 Quran activists from the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, the Defense Ministry and the Police Force will take part in the Quranic event.

It will be held in the categories of Quran recitation, Tarteel, Quran memorization (at different levels), Tafsir (interpretation) and Adhan (call to prayer).

A number of senior officials and military commanders are expected to attend the opening ceremony tomorrow.
