Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesman Nasser Kana’ani

Nasser Kana’ani on Wednesday offered condolences over the martyrdom of the senior Palestinian resistance figure to the Palestinian nation, Hamas and other resistance groups in Palestine and elsewhere in the region and nations supporting the cause of Palestine

He stressed that the “pure blood of this tireless fighter” who spent his life on the path of liberation of al-Quds and dignified struggle against the Zionist regime, has not been shed in vain.

His martyrdom will reinforce the deep and unbreakable bonds between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Palestine, Kana’ani added.

Haniyeh has been assassinated in an attack in Tehran in what Hamas described as a "Zionist raid."
