IQNA – A Lebanese political analyst underlined the need for the continuation of the discourse and approach of resistance in the region.

Lebanese analyst Bilal Lakkis

Speaking to IQNA about the region’s resistance front on the occasion of the Islamic Resistance Day, Bilal Lakkis said it is also important that the paths of confrontation with the Zionist regime must be strengthened.

He added that the resistance front should be careful not to be drawn into the seditions that the enemies are trying to involve it in.

The Lebanese University scholar said the resistance front should enhance its strength and consolidate its power to pass through the current stage.

Highlighting the Islamic Republic of Iran’s role and position in the resistance front, Lakkis said Iran has turned into a regional power.

Iran has been quite successful in turning threats into opportunities and has become a perfect example of independence, he stated.

Iran has also managed to forge strong alliances with other powers in the resistance front, according to the analyst.

At a time when the world had succumbed to the US’s power, it was the Islamic Republic that challenged Washington and its policies, he noted.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Lakkis referred to the Zionist regime’s crises and said Israeli is facing a situation where it has no hope for the future.

The Islamic Resistance Day is celebrated on August 13 every day. It marks the anniversary of the great victory of the Hezbollah resistance movement against the Israeli regime.

It is a day that, according to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, revived dignity of the Arab and Muslim world, and shattered the purported image of the Zionist regime’s invincibility.
