Iran’s Contestants in Croatia Int’l Quranic Event Back Home

IQNA – The Quran reciter and memorizer who represented Iran in Croatia’s international Quran competition last week have returned home.

Yousef Jafarzadeh and Mehdi Mahdavi arrived at the Imam Khomeini (RA) International Airport in Tehran on September 30, 2024, after attending 38th edition of the international Quran competition of Croatia.

 

Yousef Jafarzadeh and Mehdi Mahdavi arrived at the Imam Khomeini (RA) International Airport in Tehran on Monday morning. 

The 38th edition of the international Quran competition of Croatia was held in the Southeast European country’s capital of Zagreb from September 26 to 28.

 Quran reciters and memorizers from various countries took part in the competition.

Jafarzadeh, who competed in the category of Quran recitation, came third after the representatives of Turkey and Indonesia.

Mahdavi, meanwhile, was not among the top winners in the category of memorization of the entire Quran.

Jafarzadeh, 27, is from the southern province of Hormozgan and is currently an MA student of political sciences at Tehran’s Shahid Beheshti University.
