Kashmir: Institute Awards Umrah Ticket to Outstanding Quran Memorization Student

IQNA – An educational institute in Kashmir has awarded one of its Quran memorization student with a ticket for Umrah pilgrimage.

 

Alfalah Educational Institute in Aragam, Bandipora, marked a milestone in its Quran Memorization program by awarding an Umrah ticket to student Raqib ul Hassan in recognition of his dedication to completing the course, Gulistan News reported on Sunday.

Raqib, along with fellow students Ansar Aslam and Salman Khursheed, finished the Quran Memorization (Hifz-e-Quran) program this year, with the Umrah recipient selected by a draw.

Established two years ago, the Hifz-e-Quran program at Alfalah combines religious and modern studies to foster a balanced education, attracting students and parents interested in a curriculum that supports both spiritual and academic development.

The award ceremony was attended by a diverse group of local figures who underscored the importance of integrating faith with education.

Islamic scholars Mufti Muzaffer Hussain Qasmi and Mufti Farhat Ahmad Qasmi commended the students' achievements and Alfalah’s commitment to holistic education. “This institute is shaping young minds while nurturing their souls,” Mufti Muzaffer remarked.

Local businessman Ghulam Nabi Tantray noted Alfalah’s initiative as an example for other institutions, praising its role in cultivating morally and intellectually developed students. Professor Ghulam Hassan Bhat and Arsullah Habib from the Chief Education Office emphasized the positive impact on the Bandipora community, pledging ongoing support for such programs.

Alfalah’s Chief Patron, Arif Hussain Bhat, announced plans to expand the Quran Memorization program, with additional resources to encourage continued dedication to both religious and secular knowledge.
