Iran Nat’l Quran Competition Finals to Run for over Two Weeks, Starting Next Monday

IQNA – The final round of Iran’s 47th National Holy Quran Competition will get underway in the northwestern city of Tabriz on Monday, December 2.

According to the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization, this round will begin with the women’s section, which will run for 7 days. 

The men’s section will then get underway on December 10, with the closing ceremony, where winners will be named and awarded, slated for December 19.

The Islamic Republic of Iran’s National Quran Competition is annually held by the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization with the participation of top Quran activists from across the country.

It is aimed at discovering Quranic talents and promoting Quranic activities in society.

The top winners of the competition will represent Iran in the international Quran competitions across the world.

This year’s competition is held in commemoration of the “Martyrs of Service”, namely former President Ebrahim Raisi and his companions who were killed in a helicopter crash in May.
