IQNA – Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours have killed over 100 Palestinians and left many injured, according to Palestine’s official news agency, WAFA.

The agency reported that Saturday night saw a significant attack in the Tel al-Zaatar area, where a residential building sheltering displaced families was hit, killing at least 40 people, including women and children.

Rescue efforts remain hindered due to widespread destruction and the absence of sufficient emergency teams, with many victims trapped under rubble in northern areas like Jabalia and Beit Lahiya.

In central Gaza, six people died when Israeli airstrikes hit a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp, while in southern Gaza’s Qizan al-Najjar area, 12 civilians were killed.

Reports also indicate Israeli strikes targeted a home west of Gaza City, killing three and injuring others.

WAFA further detailed the demolition of multiple residential buildings in Beit Lahiya and emphasized the continued challenges in responding to the destruction.

The Israeli regime, sponsored by Western governments and especially the United States, unleased the genocidal aggression on Gaza in October last year after Palestinian resistance movements launched Operation al-Aqsa Flood in response to years-long oppression against Palestinians.

The relentless Israeli attacks in the past 14 months have killed 44,382 Palestinians, the majority of them women and children. More than 105,000 others have been injured, and almost all of the 2.3 million population of the besieged area are internally displaced.
