Ali Gholamazad went on stage at the competition on Wednesday to answer the questions of the panel of judges and showcase his Quranic talents.
“I had a good performance, and I received praise for the accuracy of my recitation from the judging panel, the competitors, and even the Algerian minister of religious affairs,” he told IQNA.
“I hope that by achieving the top rank in this edition of the contest, I can add another honor to the golden tablet of Quranic achievements of the Islamic Republic of Iran and bring joy to the hearts of the dear, Quran-loving nation,” he added.
The final round of Algeria’s 20th international Quran competition kicked off in a ceremony in Algiers on Tuesday.
The competition concluded Saturday, January 25, and the top winners will be named and awarded at the closing ceremony today.
Gholamazad, who is from the northern province of Zanjan, was named the country’s representatives in Algeria’s Quranic event after coming 3rd in Iran’s 47th National Quran Competition.

The preliminary stage of the competition’s 20th edition was organized virtually in December 2024 with the participation of representatives from 40 countries.
