Ali Abu Shaheen, a member of the movement’s political bureau, underlined that the resistance’s weapons are the property of the Palestinian people.
He made the remark in a speech on Wednesday evening, adding that the Israeli regime’s plan for disarming the resistance is unacceptable.
As long as occupation exists, no Palestinian group will agree to disarmament, he stated.
The weapons of the resistance groups are matter of honor and faith and reflect a history of struggle against the Israeli occupiers by all Palestinian groups.
Mahmoud Mardawi, a senior member of Hamas, also rejected the disarmament idea, describing the weapon of the resistance is the life of the Palestinian people.
“There is no turning back. We will never negotiate over our weapons and those who carry them at any stage,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Palestinian National and Islamic Forces issued a statement, saying, “We strongly oppose the disarmament of the resistance, which aims to destroy the basic weapons that the Palestinians use only for self-defense, while at the same time the United States has reportedly delivered a large shipment of deadly weapons and heavy bombs to the Zionists to use against the defenseless Palestinian nation.”
The committee emphasized that focusing on the disarmament of the resistance is a big misleading trend because the problem is related to the failure of the Zionists to implement the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, an agreement that the Palestinian side agreed to and adhered to.
