In a letter addressed to the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB), Hojat-ol-Islam Abdolhossein Khosropanah expressed his appreciation for the production of Quranic programs by the IRIB.
Emphasizing the unparalleled role of the national media in the critical current moment and the clash of narratives, especially in promoting the Iranian-Islamic lifestyle, the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution acknowledges the efforts of the IRIB in this field, he wrote in the letter.
“Among these, the spiritual and influential program Mahfel holds a special place. This program, with its intelligent focus on the Holy Quran and its use of an engaging and effective format, has succeeded in creating a wave of closeness to the Quran, spirituality, and solidarity within society.”
Introducing outstanding Quranic talents at national and international levels and creating a compassionate and hopeful environment were among the TV show’s prominent achievements, he stated.

Mahfel is a Quranic show produced and aired by the IRIB’s Channel 3 during the blessed month of Ramadan.
The first season of the show was aired in Ramadan 2023 and the following seasons in 2024 and 2025.
It has been warmly welcomed by millions of viewers in Iran and other countries.
