Iranian Delegation to Attend 26th Session of the Int’l Islamic Fiqh Academy in Qatar
It will be led by Ayatollah Ahmad Moballeghi, a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts and a senior instructor at the Islamic Seminary of Qom.
He will present Shia jurisprudential views at the session within the framework of efforts to enhance jurisprudential discourse among Islamic schools of thought.
The annual session is considered one of the most important scientific and jurisprudential events in the Islamic world, held with the participation of a group of jurists, scholars, and intellectuals from the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The 26th edition will be a valuable opportunity for scholarly exchange, examining contemporary jurisprudential challenges, and offering practical solutions based on Islamic principles.
The active participation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this academic conference reflects the country’s commitment to advancing scholarly and jurisprudential interactions within the Islamic world and strengthening convergence, understanding, and solidarity among Islamic schools of thought.

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy (IIFA) was established in January 1981 as a universal scholarly organization and a subsidiary organ of the OIC.
Its members are eminent Muslim jurists, scholars, and intellectuals who specialize in jurisprudential, cultural, scientific and economic fields of knowledge from different parts of the Muslim world.
They study contemporary life issues, performing an authentic and effective Ijtihad, aiming at providing solutions stemming from Islamic heritage and open to the developments of Islamic thought.
