Karbala Shrine Completes Cataloging of 2,000 Rare Manuscripts

Ahmed Mohammed Abdullah from the shrine’s Manuscript Imaging and Cataloging Center told Al-Kafeel: "Our center has meticulously cataloged 2,000 manuscripts preserved in the library of the shrine of Imam Abbas (AS)."

He explained that the manuscripts have been documented in four published volumes, with a fifth section currently in production.

"Each entry includes the manuscript’s title, author, date of transcription, and origin," Abdullah noted, adding that "particularly significant texts—such as Qurans, copies of Nahj al-Balagha, and Al-Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya—have been highlighted due to their importance to researchers."
