It was chaired by the Iraqi Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari and attended by a number of senior police and security officials, according to the Middle East News website.
The interior minister was briefed on the measures taken by the security organizations and issued orders for enhancing preparations.
He underlined the need for coordination and cooperation among all related ministries and organization to ensure the security of the pilgrims of Imam Jawad (AS) holy shrine.
The 30th of the lunar Hirji month of Dhu al-Qi’dah, which falls on May 27 this year, marks the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Jawad (AS).
