Wherever We Stand on the Path of Truth, We Are Within the Sanctuary of Imam Hussein: Cleric

In an interview with Radio Arbaeen, the member of Iran's Assembly of Experts Ayatollah Ghorban-Ali Dori Najafabadi said that Imam Hussein and the Ahl al-Bayt constantly observe the deeds of believers. What truly matters, he said, is that one's heart, thoughts, spirit, and conduct embody the values of Imam Hussein through loyalty to God, the Qur'an, and the Ahl al-Bayt.

Referring to Arbaeen processions held across Iran for those unable to travel to Karbala, Dori Najafabadi said that while many people cannot make the pilgrimage, nationwide "Arbaeen Left-Behind" ceremonies have enabled devotees to express their love and devotion to Imam Hussein in their own cities and provinces.

He added that in Tehran, participants walk toward the shrine of Hazrat Abdol-Azim al-Hasani (AS) and other sacred sites, while in Markazi Province people complete a 74-kilometer pilgrimage on foot to the shrine of Imamzadeh Mohammad Abed (AS), a son of Imam Musa al-Kadhim (AS). Through prayer, pilgrimage, and service to fellow pilgrims, they keep the memory of Karbala alive.

The Assembly of Experts member said that the Ashura movement emerged to rescue society from ignorance and misguidance. He described Imam Hussein's path as the path of Islam, the Qur'an, justice, public service, and resistance against oppression, global arrogance, and Zionism.

He added that, inspired by the blood of martyrs, the leadership of Imam Khomeini, the guidance of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and the leadership of Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Iranian nation has remained committed to this course. He emphasized that anyone

who follows the path of truth, guardianship (Wilayah), and the ideals of the Ahl al-Bayt is spiritually within the sanctuary of Imam Hussein, and that true devotion is measured by steadfastness on the straight path and adherence to divine teachings.

Dori Najafabadi also expressed appreciation for the services provided by Arbaeen volunteers, emergency responders, the Iranian Red Crescent Society, physicians, nurses, and all those assisting pilgrims. Serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein, he said, is a service to God and to the ideals of Ashura, and every step taken in this path will be recorded by God as a righteous deed.
