In a meeting with members of the country’s Quran Printing Review and Revision Committee, Youssef Belmahdi stressed the importance of observing scientific accuracy in reviewing and revising the Quran with the aim of printing perfect copies worthy of the status of the Word of Revelation.
He visited the committee on Saturday, September 20, Al-Ayyam website reported.
During this visit, he attended the periodic meeting of the committee in the capital Algiers.
Belmahdi appreciated the efforts of the committee members in serving the Quran and emphasized their important responsibility to ensure accurate and error-free printing of the Quran copies.
He also said that Algeria has always made efforts to prepare and distribute the Quran in various editions, which reflects the historical and cultural position of the country in serving the Quran and spreading it around the world.

Algeria’s Quran Printing Review Committee resumed its activities a few years ago on the orders of the then Awqaf minister, following the publication of a number of copies of the Holy Quran with some printing errors.
The members of this committee are appointed by the Awqaf minister, and their agenda is to print and publish the Quran accurately and without errors.
