Islamic Civilization Offers Alternative to Materialistic Civilization
Hojat-ol-Islam Ali Abbasi made the remark in a meeting with a group of non-Iranian students and activists in the fields of culture and media, adding that the Islamic Revolution, as the standard-bearer of presenting an alternative to materialistic civilization, has stood up against global domination, and Al-Mustafa International University is proud to play a role in this arena.
“Al-Mustafa International University is an up-to-date institution and has a seminary mission. It is true that we use some educational formats from scientific and university centers around the world in accordance with today’s needs, but this university has an important cultural mission.”
The member of the Assembly of Experts added, “Some academic centers operate solely with the aim of training specialists and have nothing to do with their moral and personal culture, but the graduates of Al-Mustafa International University feel a divine mission and do not come here just to obtain a degree and its privileges.”
He said the learners, administrators, and teachers of Al-Mustafa International University pay attention to the conditions of their time and recognize the needs of today’s society.
“Today, we are faced with diverse intellectual and cultural needs in the world, which the authorities and students of Al-Mustafa must be familiar with and recognize and provide the appropriate tools to fulfill their duty.”

He added, “Today, on a global level, a discourse that claims to dominate the world is trying to establish itself in the world and remove others from the scene. Dear Islam is the only point that has risen up against this domination and monopoly and has the ability to present an alternative to material civilization, and the flag bearer of this path is the Islamic Revolution.”
Emphasizing the global mission of the Islamic Revolution, he considered its discourse to be beyond geography and borders. “The Islamic Revolution, as the flag bearer of presenting an alternative to material civilization, has stood up against global domination, and Al-Mustafa International University is proud to play a role in this arena. Students and cultural activists must play a role in this discursive confrontation by understanding the time and utilizing new media tools.
