IQNA – People attended rallies across Iran on Tuesday to mark the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance and the National Student Day, chanting slogans against the United States and the Zionist regime.

People attended rallies across Iran on November 4, 2025, to mark the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance and the National Student Day

The rallies were organized Tuesday morning in Tehran and 900 other cities across the country with the slogan “United and Steadfast against Arrogance" and with the enthusiastic presence of university students, school students, and revolutionary people of Islamic Iran.

This year’s rallies took place a few months after the 12-day war imposed on the country by the US and the Israeli regime in June.

In Tehran, the ceremony began at the Palestine Square and continued to the Taleghani Street where the former US embassy, known as the ‘den of espionage’ is located.

It officially started at 9:30 a.m. with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Amir Hossein Landrani, a student qari, and the playing of the national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the Army’s marching band.

The coincidence of this year's march with the days of Fatimya (marking the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Zahra (SA)) and the absence of 86 university students and 34  school students martyred in the attacks by the US and the Zionist regime during the 12-day war made it different and more special than the marches of previous years.

The marchers, with the slogans “Death to America” and “Death to Israel”, condemned the Israeli and us crimes against the Iranian and Palestinian people, especially in the 12-day war and against the people of Gaza over the past two years, and honored the memory of the martyred commanders and scientists and student martyrs of the recent war.

Various cultural stations and pavilions were set up along the route of the march in Tehran, the main theme of which was mostly an explanation of the crimes of the US and the Zionist regime, especially in the 12-day war.

The large presence of different segments of the population alongside the students from the beginning of the march demonstrated the people’s deep understanding of the specialness and distinctiveness of this year’s march compared to previous years.

Other programs on the sidelines of the parade included a display of Iranian missiles and centrifuges, which demonstrated the capability and knowledge of the youth in strengthening the country’s scientific and defense power.

This year, more than 4,500 domestic and foreign journalists are covering the ceremony.

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf delivered a speech at the rally in Tehran.

Forty-six years ago on November 4, 1979, Iranian students took over the American embassy in Tehran, also known in Iran as the ‘den of espionage’, less than a year after the Islamic Revolution toppled the US-backed Pahlavi dictatorship in 1979.

The occasion was then named the National Day of the Fight against Global Arrogance. November 4 also marks National Student Day.
