The 28th edition of the fair opened in the Albanian capital on Wednesday, drawing wide participation from publishers across the country and the region. The event runs until November 16 and attracts large numbers of readers, researchers and university students.
The Islamic Knowledge House, linked to Kosovo’s Islamic Community (the national Muslim affairs authority), has a prominent presence this year. It is unveiling 20 new works covering thought, culture, and Islamic and humanities studies.
Its stand offers a broad collection of over 60 titles in fields such as Islamic studies, intellectual thought, linguistics, history and social sciences. Organisers say the display reflects growing interest in high-quality scholarly publications that meet the needs of readers in the Balkans.

The newly released works include research volumes, academic studies and contemporary translations.
According to organisers, the additions signal a qualitative rise in both Kosovo’s and Arabic-language publishing output, strengthening the institution’s standing among academic centres in the Western Balkans.
The stand has attracted strong visitor interest, with many attendees exploring the new titles and high-quality publications.
Researchers and academics, particularly those focused on contemporary Islamic thought, the Arabic language and regional history, were among the most engaged audiences.
