The campaign includes the publication of a series of step-by-step instructional videos on the rules of Tajweed and recitation with the aim of spreading Quranic sciences and educating Egyptian citizens about the Quran, Newsroom reported.

In these videos, the Quran is taught in a simple and easy way that is suitable for all family members, including teaching the meanings and attributes of letters and reciting the verses of the Quran correctly and without mistakes.

Al-Azhar Deputy Mohammad ad-Duwini said in this regard, “We hope that this campaign will be useful for the girls and boys of Al-Azhar and those seeking knowledge, and will make it easier for them to learn the Book of God and reflect on its meanings.”

He wrote in a message on Facebook, “This campaign was launched in line with the guidance of (Al-Azhar Chief) Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb and its goal is to facilitate learning the Quran and raising a Quranic generation.”

Al-Azhar has so far carried out various activities in the field of teaching the Quran and the rules of Tajweed, including the ‘Electronic Quran Reader’ application, supported by al-Tayeb and supervised by ad-Duwini.
