IQNA – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said the United States and the Zionist regime are doing all they can to prevent the formation of unity among Muslim countries.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Oman’s foreign minister met in Tehran on January 10, 2026.

The president made the remark in a meeting in Tehran with the visiting foreign minister of Oman on Saturday evening.

He highlighted the recent regional and international developments and the destructive role of Washington and Tel Aviv in undermining global peace, stability and security, saying they want to see the continuation of war and insecurity in the region.

They make every effort to prevent unity among Muslim countries and to create discord in order to be able to implement their evil intentions and goals, he stated.

Pezeshkian referred to the recent riots in Iran and said the enemies think they can defeat Iran by provoking unrest and chaos but the Iranian nation will support their country and establishment more steadfastly and firmly than before.

He also pointed to the good and brotherly ties between Iran and Oman and said the strategic priority of the Islamic Republic of Iran is expanding relations with neighboring and Muslim states, including Oman.

“We consider all Islamic states our friend and brother and emphasize developing ties with all of these countries,” he stated, adding that Oman has a special place for Iran given the deep cultural and political bonds and commonalities between the two countries.
