President Hails Magnificent Presence of Iranians in Monday Rallies

IQNA – Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian lauded the people of the country for their magnificent presence in rallies held to condemn the recent riots.

In a message issued on Monday evening, the president condemned the terrorist acts and interventions by foreign countries in internal affairs of Iran and underlined that the Iranian nation gave a crushing response to the vicious plots hatched by the enemy.

Pezeshkian said the glorious presence of people in Monday’s demonstrations showed the determination of the nation in safeguarding their country and thwarting enemy conspiracies.

It blocked the way of the US and the Zionist regime while making the Iranian government more determined to serve the nation, he added.

“I have no doubt that such a level of vigilance, responsibility and national maturity is rooted in a great civilization that the enemies of this land have always been unable to comprehend.”

The Iranian president also expressed condolences and sympathized with the bereaved families of martyrs and those hurt in the recent riots.

Violent rioters vandalized public and private properties in a number of cities across Iran on Thursday and Friday, killing some ordinary people and security forces and inflicting injuries on others.

They vandalized public properties, blocked streets, attacked the administrative buildings and police stations, and killed and injured a number of security and law enforcement forces.

They also set fire on several mosques and desecrated copies of the Holy Quran.
