
The result of the assessments will soon be finalized and the names of the convoy’s members will be announced, according a member of the evaluation committee.
Ali Salehi Matin said the Quranic Affairs Center of the Awqaf and Charity Affairs Organization was in charge of holding the exam and the Supreme Council of Quran also cooperated.
As well as qaris, a memorizer of the entire Quran and a Tawasheeh (religious singing) group will also be part of the convoy, he noted.
Every year millions of Muslims from around the world gather in the Mecca for the annual Hajj.
Iran also sends pilgrims as well as a groups of Quran activists, known as the Noor (Light) Quranic Convoy.
The members of the delegation hold Quranic programs, including Quran recitation session for the pilgrims in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
