Nofal became famous for a unique achievement after he was able to write the entire Holy Quran by hand 6 times, using simple tools and few resources, and after years of patience and effort.
He had previously said that he had dreamed of writing the Quran since childhood, and after retiring from his government job, he achieved it, after he decided to use his free time to fulfill his greatest desire.
The beginning of this passion dated back to the time when he studied at the Quranic school in his village, where the teacher asked the students to write the memorized verses on the tablets in the same calligraphy and Arabic script found in the Quran, which impressed him and he later decided to write the entire Quran.
Nofal recited the Quran daily and within two and a half years he was able to complete the entire Quran in his own handwriting and continued to write other copies until he reached six complete copies.
Every day after the Isha prayer, he would set aside time to write two to three pages of the Quran, using ordinary pens and a ruler to draw the margins and accurately transfer the Arabic script from the Ottoman Quran, and he would collect what he wrote in neat paper volumes.
The Quran scribe had said in an interview that the Holy Quran was the reason for his resistance to life’s difficulties and a source of sustenance and blessing, and that he was able to raise his children in the best possible way, all of whom studied at university and memorized the Holy Quran.
