Members of Iran’s Quranic Convoy for Hajj 2026 Named

IQNA – Members of Iran’s Noor (light) Quranic Convoy that will be sent to Saudi Arabia to hold various Quranic programs during Hajj were named.

There will be 14 qaris and Quran memorizers as well as a five-member Tawasheeh group in the convoy.

They were named after holding a selection test and conducting assessments.

Hamed Shakernejad from Khorasan Razavi, Mehdi Shayeq from Yazd, Mokhtar Dehghan from Khorasan Razavi, Seyed Sadeq Moslemi from Mazandaran, Ali Hezbian from Khuzestan, Sajjad Ansaripour from Khorasan Razavi, Vahid Karami from Lorestan, Saeed Jabbari from East Azerbaijan, Seyed Mohammad Hossein Zakeri from West Azerbaijan, Davud Karimi from Tehran, Mohammad Esmaili from Ardabil, Masoud Safari from Hamedan, Meysam Sarwarifar from Qazvin, and Mohammad Khakpour from Khorasan Razavi are the qaris and memorizers of the convoy.

The Habl al-Matien Tawasheeh group from Zanjan Province will also accompany them. Its members are Saeed Amanloo, Mohammad Javad Rezaei, Mehdi Karami, Saeed Doyran and Ali Qanbari.

The Quranic Noor Quranic convoy will be headed by Seyed Mee’ad Salehi from Tehran.

Every year millions of Muslims from around the world gather in the Mecca for the annual Hajj.

Iran also sends pilgrims as well as a groups of Quran activists, known as the Noor (Light) Quranic Convoy.

The members of the delegation hold Quranic programs, including Quran recitation sessions, for the pilgrims in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
