Al-Ameed Int’l Quran Award: Names of Contestants in Teenage Section Announced

IQNA – The names of those qualifying for the teenage section in the third edition of Al-Ameed International Quran Recitation Award in Iraq were announced.

The Astan (custodianship) of Hazrat Abbas (AS) holy shrine named the contenders qualifying for the event in the under-16 section, Al-Kafeel reported.

This competition is being held by the Quranic Scientific Complex of the Astan with the participation of qaris from Arab and Islamic countries.

Abbas Anjam, head of the preliminary selection committee for the teenage category said 15 participants from different countries have been accepted for the third edition in accordance with the quotas set for the television competition.

He added that the different levels, ages and nationalities of the accepted participants give a special distinction to the event this year.

The names of the participants by country are: Muhammad Hassan Maytham Nasser, Muhammad Ali Sadiq Burhan and Yousef Hussein Kamel Yasser Al-Muhanna from Iraq, Muhammad Ahmed Hassan Ismail and Al-Sayyid Ezzat Al-Sayyid Muhammad Ali Rashid from Egypt, Muhammad Zian Fahrizi and Muhammad Iqbal from Indonesia, Muhammad Reza Poursafar and Abolfazl Adalatkhah from Iran, Saifuddin Nawar and Adam Al-Dakdak from Morocco, Abdullah Salman Shakir from Pakistan, Muhammad Nazir Asghar from the Philippines, Muhammad Mehdi Ali Obaid from Lebanon and Muhammad Sadiq Rahman from Bangladesh.
