Pakistan’s Punjab University Library Hosts Quran Lessons to Mark Beginning of Ramadan

IQNA – Seeking to blend academic tradition with spiritual enrichment, the Punjab University Library in Lahore, Pakistan, has launched its “Dars-e-Quran (Quran Lesson)” program for Ramadan 2026.

It successfully organized the first session of its “Dars-e-Quran” program. The spiritually enriching event drew a large and attentive audience comprising library professionals, students, library users, and staff members.

The keynote lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Hamid Ashraf Hamdani, who shared insights into the teachings of the Holy Quran and highlighted their relevance in contemporary life.

His scholarly discourse was warmly appreciated by the participants, who found the session both enlightening and thought-provoking.

It is pertinent to mention that organizing Dars-e-Quran is a long-standing tradition of the Punjab University Library, which holds these sessions on every Friday of the holy month of Ramadan to promote spiritual awareness and learning within the academic community.

On the occasion, Muhammad Asif Khan, Chief Librarian, expressed his sincere gratitude to the distinguished speaker for his valuable contribution.

He also thanked the audience for their enthusiastic participation, noting that such programs play a vital role in promoting spiritual learning and intellectual engagement within the university community.
