
According to Al-Youm News, Mohamed Al-Duwaini, the deputy of Al-Azhar, attended the Iftar banquet in the courtyard of Al-Azhar Grand Mosque on Monday, the fifth day of Ramadan.
He ensured the precise process of holding the Iftar banquet and the smooth arrival of students and the distribution of food, with the aim of creating a worthy atmosphere that is worthy of Al-Azhar’s mission.
Referring to the efforts made to serve foreign students who have come to Al-Azhar from different continents to study, Al-Duwaini emphasized that supporting these students is Al-Azhar’s priority, because they are the university’s ambassadors in their countries and bearers of its moderate approach.
The Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity, in line with the guidance of Al-Azhar chief Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayeb, holds group iftar banquets and provides 10,000 Iftar and Suhoor meals to foreign students daily.

This group iftar is part of the comprehensive Ramadan program that Al-Azhar is implementing throughout this month.
Al-Azhar’s Ramadan program also includes holding Isha and Taraweeh prayers with different recitations, holding scientific lessons and Quranic gatherings, as well as missionary and social activities.
