The Iranian ambassador to the East African country, a number of Iranians residing in Tanzania and hundreds of Tanzanians who love the Islamic Revolution, attended the event on Sunday.

Ali Dina, a prominent Shia cleric, addressed the ceremony, highlighting the faith and steadfastness of Ayatollah Khamenei, noting that he would not hesitate for a moment on the path he had chosen.

Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei was martyred in a US-Israeli attack on his office in Tehran on Saturday morning.

In a statement early on Sunday, the Iranian Cabinet of Ministers offered condolences to Imam Zaman (may God hasten his glad advent), the noble Iranian nation and the Muslim Ummah over the great loss and declared 40 days of national mourning.
