In a message of condolence following the martyrdom of the Leader, Pezeshkian has stated that the assassination of this great commander of the Islamic Ummah constitutes a clear war against Muslims, particularly Shias worldwide.

The message of condolence from Pezeshkian regarding the martyrdom of Ayatollah Khamenei, the esteemed Leader of the Islamic Revolution, conveyed profound grief, sorrow, and regret, stating that the great commander of the Islamic Ummah has been martyred at the hands of “the most wicked of oppressors.”

The assassination of the highest political figure of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a prominent religious authority of the Shia world by the United States and the Israeli regime was considered a declaration of war against Muslims, especially Shia across the globe, Pezeshkian said in his message.

Under the wise guidance and leadership of the martyred Grand Ayatollah Imam Khamenei for 37 years, Iran had steadfastly followed the path of Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, transforming into a hub of anti-arrogance and independence-seeking, the message added.

In his message, the president emphasized that the Islamic Republic considered seeking retribution from the perpetrators and instigators of this historic crime its legitimate duty and right.
