Russian Diplomat Calls Assassination of Ayatollah Khamenei Disgraceful
Maria Zakharova also condemned the US and Israeli attacks on Iran as violation of laws, TASS reported.
Speaking at a press conference, she said the US and Israel are breaking the law and pushing the West Asia region toward chaos.
The so-called “threat from Iran” used by the US and the Zionist regime as justification for attacking Iran is just a pretext for undermining the legal order in Iran, she stated.
Zakharova added that Moscow is concerned about US officials’ remarks on the intention to continue military attacks on Iran until Washington’s interests are ensured.
She said the legitimate government is in control of the situation in Iran and prevents anarchy, power vacuum and humanitarian crisis.
She warned that the military aggression on Iran will have dire consequences for the civilian population and civilian infrastructure as well as regional and global economy.
The US and Israeli regime launched strikes on Iran starting Saturday morning, February 28.
