It hosted political and religious figures, diplomats and representatives from the local community, according to the Muslimsaroundtheworld website.

They included ambassadors of Islamic countries as well as a number of Swedish government officials.

The gathering provided an opportunity for dialogue and exchange of thoughts.

The speakers highlighted the importance of peaceful coexistence, dialogue and cooperation in Sweden.

They also said such gatherings in the holy month of Ramadan help to promote understanding among cultures and create a society based on mutual respect and people’s participation.

The speaker emphasized that religious institutions like mosques play a main role in supporting social stability and bolstering the culture of dialogue.

The program concluded with congregational Maghrib prayers and then the participants broke their fast.
