IQNA – An internationally acclaimed Iranian qari, referring to the recent stance of a Kuwaiti qari in support of the world arrogance and the production of religious works in opposition to Iran, said supporting the arrogant is not compatible with any reading of the Quran.

Ahmad Abolqassemi

In an interview with IQNA, Ahmad Abolqassemi, said the Kuwaiti qari’s move has caused widespread disgust in public opinion in the world and, without a doubt, this person has exposed himself to public hatred by adopting such a stance.

The removal of this reciter’s voice from cyberspace, including Quranic applications and websites, is an indication of this disgust and indicates that Islamic societies are awake and sensitive to such deviations, he stated.

Emphasizing that such stances are rooted in hypocrisy, he said one of the reasons for these positions can be found in the tainted character and livelihood of this person, because according to the saying of Imam Hussein (AS), the one whose stomach is filled with Haram (what is banned in religion, what has been acquired through illegitimate means), even the divine word will not have an effect on him.

Referring to the clear themes of the Holy Quran regarding confronting oppression and arrogance, the Quranic figure added, “When hundreds of verses about fighting, rising up against oppression, and Hadiths such as the story of Prophet Moses (AS) are mentioned in the Quran, it is not difficult for even children to distinguish between right and wrong.

“In such circumstances, the pharaonic literature of the US president is visible to everyone, but it is unfortunate that this reciter, by taking his position, has practically stood by the same trend and supported it.”

The host of the TV program Mahfel added, “Even if this person does not have a proper understanding of Iran and the Iranian people, can it be accepted that he is also unaware of a figure like Trump? A figure who is well known to the world public opinion.”

Citing Verse 28 of Surah Al-Imran, “The believers should not take the unbelievers as guides in preference to the believers he who does this does not belong to Allah in anything, unless you have a fear of them. Allah warns you to be cautious of Him, the arrival is to Allah,” Abolqassemi said one who takes the disbelievers as friends and protectors instead of the believers has no connection with Allah.

“This is enough to reveal the nature of this person to everyone, therefore, even if he has a pleasant voice, listening to it has no value or desirability.”
