IQNA – A new book examining mathematical structures and numerical patterns within the Holy Quran was released at a gathering in Srinagar, the Indian-administered Kashmir.

A new book examining mathematical structures and numerical patterns within the Holy Quran was released at a gathering in Srinagar, the Indian-administered Kashmir, on May 3, 2026.

 

The ceremony was held Sunday by the Eesaar Welfare Trust at Hotel Welcome in Srinagar.  

The book, originally written in English, and translated into Urdu by noted writer Shahbaz Hakbari, is titled “Quran Shareef Mein Mojood Riyaziati Haqaiq”.

The event was presided over by noted Quranic scholar Kaleem Ullah Khan, while Maulana Showkat Hussain Keng attended as the chief guest.

The function saw participation from prominent scholars, writers, researchers and students from across Kashmir.

During the program, Arabic and mathematical scholars presented detailed review papers on the book, highlighting its attempts to bridge religious text with mathematical understanding,

Speakers emphasized the importance of such literature in inspiring readers and encouraging deeper reflection on the Quran from diverse perspectives.

Among those who spoke on the occasion included Dr Furkaan Majeed, Maulana M Amir, Dr Mojtaba Farooq, Hakeem Ghulam Jeelani, Dr Mudasir, Dr Maroof Shah, Prof. Qalam-u-Allah Khan and Shahbaz Hakbari.

The proceedings of the event were conducted by Prof. Javed Qadoos, while translator Shahbaz Hakbari presented the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the participants and attendees for making the event successful.
